The child of an English professor and an impressionist painter, I spent half my childhood crawling through undergrowth catching lizards and creating soap operas for plastic dinosaurs in the mud, and the other half drawing, painting, reading and writing.
A lifelong musician, when I injured my fiddle-playing hand, I filled the creative void by painting, and began showing and selling my work in the early 2000’s. Nature is my refuge, and I paint what I love: mountains, rivers, forests, the sea. In my work I invite the viewer to walk, float or fly in solitude into the natural world.
